Zena + Avery’s wedding day was a coming together of dozens of helping hands, rich tradition and culture, and truly just a lot of love and admiration for such an incredible couple!
First, it was a sweet and heartfelt ceremony, officiated by Zena + Avery’s college Chaplain, then it was time to celebrate! ((We don’t know if we could have ever prepared for the *level* of celebration that was to come, at their reception, but we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!!))
This elegantly and expertly decorated, cream- and blush-hued ballroom became so much more, when the bridal party arrived! Zena’s family’s Liberian heritage shined, as family and friends cheered and laid down colorful fabrics, for the newlywed couple to walk and dance on! Later in the night, we got to witness the ‘Grand March’, another Liberian tradition, which brought every guest out onto the dance floor, to parade with Zena + Avery through the whole venue! The lively Liberian music playing, added that-much-more to the fun and excitement, and set an incredible mood! It was a true celebration; as it should have been!!
Zena + Avery have an undeniable magnetism. We felt as if we’d known them for ages when we met in person, for the first time. They are welcoming, genuine, kind, endlessly humble, easy to talk to, and even easier to fall in love with! They are the kind of people that when you leave them, you just have to say, out loud, “I really like them, a lot!” You just admire them.
To Zena + Avery: Thank you for being so welcoming, positive, fun, encouraging, and genuinely kind! We have sincerely appreciated getting to know you, and it has been a huge honor to be your photographers and to take care of you! We can’t wait for you to see these moments and soon, the many more we captured, from your day!
Along with Zena + Avery, we had the honor of getting to meet and spend a day with their families who helped shape them, and the awesome friends with whom they’ve chosen to surround themselves! Our admiration just kept on spreading and growing, throughout the day!
To any of Zena + Avery’s family and friends reading this: Thank you for being just as welcoming, and for always being ready and willing to help! We appreciated so much, seeing you work so hard to truly make it a dream day for them! We would take you all with us, to a million more weddings, if we could!
Congratulations, again, Zena + Avery!
Hope you all enjoy this short preview!!
Cheers!
