Erika + Mike are not ones to let a little tropical storm get them down — or even faze them, for that matter! We walked in, and first thing, a bubbly and super excited Erika, greeted us with a big hello, a huge smile, and a giant bin of homemade cookies! Mike was nervous when we saw him, but his nerves were 100% positive and had nothing to do with weather, but everything to do with being so close to seeing his amazing bride, and finally getting their day underway, after months of planning! Some plans may have been alternate but, because of who Erika + Mike are, the spirit of the day didn’t skip a beat!
They cooly glided with the flow, and enjoyed every second, to the fullest. From their first look, to romantically strolling in the rain together, to their ceremony officiated by a close friend, to Erika’s older sister beautifully singing them down the aisle (which they walked, arm-in-arm, together – a Swedish tradition), to their sweet, honest + emotional, handwritten vows, to sealing it all with a kiss, to the well-deserved celebratory drinks and dancing that followed; it was a gorgeous day, with so many unforgettable moments and memories! This was their day. They made the absolute most of it, as they always would have, rain or shine!
Erika + Mike: Thank you both for choosing us to be your photographers! You’re extraordinary people. You’re endlessly positive, hilarious, and kinder and more encouraging than we could have ever deserved! You guys are truly inspiring! (Which we are even more sure of, after listening to your friends and family throughout the day!) We are so glad to have met you, and we’re so proud to help tell and retell your awesome story! Oh, and we’re still tearing up, just thinking about your vows. Haha! Literally they were the sweetest!
