“When planning for our December wedding in early June, we had no idea how much energy would go in to the planning and details. Because the engagement was such a short stent, we needed to contact quickly, make decisions, and execute. Chris and Jess were a Godsend from a very good friend of ours- a referral that turned in to one of the best decisions of our whole day! We met the couple in person to exchange greetings, learn about their process, and simply get to know each other. This first evening could have gone on forever. We chatted weddings and life and left feeling comfortable and confident that we wanted them for our day. They presented us some work of theirs to view, and we had also done plenty of research via social media to know we loved their style. We knew the moody colors of a winter wedding would be highlighted, and that was important to us. As the wedding grew closer, Chris and Jess shot our Fall Foliage engagement photos and we learned how to work together, take cues, relax, and truly have fun! Following the shoot, we met to iron out timelines and day of coordination details. This was crazy helpful to present to the wedding planner who could then help schedule the transportation, rental company set up, band, and catering. All the pieces were falling into place because of the Bowman’s interaction. The day of was wonderful with two shooters, and Chris and Jess kept us both so calm, letting us soak up and enjoy every bit. They trudged through the snow for and with us to capture the very best shots. Jess was even my biggest hero offering her rubber boots to preserve my white, open toed, heels! Into the ceremony and reception, we didn’t even know these two were snapping all around us. They know how to be present and do their job all while being discreet. They blew us away. The “teaser posts” every few days after the wedding were incredible, and we were so thankful they could capture our day.
The final product is where we could boast for days. We met for dinner a couple months after to get the edited photos on a flash drive, and their presentation was spot on. They really have thought of details from start to finish. The leather bound album that now graces our coffee table is the most perfect reminder of our special day. Chris and Jess worked tirelessly to plan the spread of photos that would eventually be in the printed album. We had much dialogue, and they were patient through it all. The album is perfect, and we happily recommend this talented and very special couple to anyone in need! Chris and Jess are awesome people who are amazing to work with and produce an exceptional product.”
